OUR MISSION

When I was a kid, my mom used to wake me up for school every morning with the same phrase, "Rise & Shine! Elevate and Illuminate!" At the time, I would more often than not just groan and cover my head with the pillow, but over the years I've started taking that message to heart. 

Elevate and Illuminate.

It's more than just a request to get up and 

greet the sunny day. 

For me, it has become a Call to Action.

 In the past few years, we have seen the rise of extraordinary discord and hate in our country, and across the world. Political divisions, racial unrest, gender inequities, socioeconomic disparities, the list goes on and on. And I truly worry that if good people do not Elevate their voices and Illuminate the national conversation with rational thought then our beloved country could suffer under the weight of radicalism.

We each have a responsibility to go out into the world and help spread some good, make a new friend who doesn't look like us, learn about a culture different than our own, live outside of our comfort zone and expand our circles. 

If enough of us stand together, we can heal social divisions. 

Together, we can Elevate and Illuminate.
